Pet Nanny Privacy Policy

Effective date: September 25, 2026

PET NANNY ONLINE LLC operates Pet Nanny, including our website at https://www.petnanny.online and the Pet Nanny booking app for customers and sitters. This policy explains how information is handled when you use these services.

Information you provide

We handle account and contact information, including your name, email address, telephone number, account identifier, and address information. We use it to manage your account, communicate with you, and arrange pet care.

Pet profiles can contain a pet’s name, photograph, species, breed, age, weight, sex, vaccination and spay/neuter status, energy level, compatibility with other animals and children, and other descriptions. Care instructions can include feeding routines, allergies, medications, and other needs you tell us about.

Booking records include the requested service, pets, dates, times, duration, assigned sitter, service address, instructions, booking and payment status, prices, recurring-service information, service updates, photographs, reviews, and tips. If you put entry instructions, access codes, emergency contacts, or veterinary details in your instructions or messages, we also receive that information. Please provide another person’s contact information only when you are authorized to do so.

We store messages exchanged through the app, including sender details, message content, booking references, and attached images, videos, or recorded voice messages. We also receive pet photographs and service photographs you upload. If you send documents to our support team, we receive the information in those documents. The app’s chat attachment selector supports images and videos; it is not a general document-upload form.

If you use the app’s automated support assistant, your conversation is processed through Base44’s agent service. The assistant can use booking and pet information to answer service questions. Avoid including passwords, payment-card details, or unnecessary sensitive information in messages or uploads.

Payments

Stripe processes payments in the booking app. Payment requests include information such as your name or email address, the amount, and booking references. Payment-card information entered into Stripe’s payment interface is processed by Stripe. Pet Nanny’s app records transaction identifiers, amounts, currency, dates, payment or refund status, and related booking, subscription, and tip information. These records provide payment history and support billing, refunds, accounting, and service administration.

Sitter location and service routes

The sitter service screens request location permission when a sitter starts a service. With permission, they collect precise latitude and longitude, timestamps, and route points associated with the booking, so that the customer and care team can view service progress.

In the current app, the Start Service tracking control is available for sitter bookings beyond Dog Walking and Dog Hike; tracking is not restricted to those two service types. The customer booking and route-viewing screens do not start a GPS tracking session.

Starting a service initiates location collection through the sitter screen. Finishing it marks tracking as ended and stops that screen’s location watcher or timer. The app also has a separate location-update connection, so finishing the service in the screen should not be treated as a guarantee that every device location update has stopped. Sitters can revoke location permission in their device settings. This can prevent route features from working.

Routes remain associated with booking records. They are not automatically erased when a service finishes or when an account is deleted. Customers can view routes for their bookings; assigned sitters and care-team administrators can also access service routes through the app.

Maps request map tiles from OpenStreetMap and map assets from a content-delivery service. These requests reveal information such as the requesting device’s IP address and the map area requested.

Notifications, device information, and permissions

We use OneSignal to send push notifications through the mobile app. The app links your email address to a OneSignal subscription identifier and stores notification-related account settings. Messages sent for delivery can include the sender’s name, a short chat preview, a booking reference, and a link to the relevant service screen. Service notifications may appear on your device’s lock screen, depending on your settings. Some service communications are also sent by email.

Notification delivery uses device push tokens and subscription information. OneSignal’s SDK documentation describes collection of device and app details, such as operating system, app version, device model, language, time zone, IP address, notification permission status, and session information. You can control notification permissions in your device settings.

The app uses Natively to connect its web-based screens with native mobile features, including notifications and device permission interfaces. Upload, camera, microphone, and location functions depend on the permissions available on your device. You can change these permissions in device settings.

Android version 1.0.1 does not declare the broad Android photo or video media permissions used on newer Android versions. It does declare legacy read-storage permission through Android 12L and write-storage permission through Android 9. Choosing an upload sends the selected content to our service. These permission differences mean we do not represent that every supported Android version uses an identical photo or file-access mechanism.

Website, app infrastructure, and operational records

Wix hosts our public website and handles information submitted through website features, including contact and service inquiries. Base44 supplies the booking app’s account, database, file-upload, backend, email, and automated-support infrastructure. Information submitted through those features is processed using those services.

Operational records generated by the booking app’s backend can contain account emails, booking identifiers, notification identifiers, transaction references, notification results, and error details. We use these records to investigate failed operations and support the service. Website requests also produce information such as IP addresses and browser details.

The booking web app stores session-related information and preferences in the browser. Its Google Analytics integration is conditional on a configured analytics identifier and the browser’s saved analytics consent. Its diagnostic integration is also conditional on configuration. The app’s native-mode check is used to skip those web integrations. Browser settings can limit cookies and local storage, although doing so may affect functionality.

How information is used and shared

We use information to arrange and deliver pet care, maintain accounts and service records, process payments, provide messages and updates, respond to support requests, and investigate operational problems.

Information needed for a booking is available to the care team and relevant sitter, and service updates are available to the customer. Messages and attachments are available to their recipients and the care team involved in support. The infrastructure, payment, notification, and map providers described above process information for their respective functions. A notification preview can disclose part of a message to the notification delivery providers.

Retention and account deletion

Information remains in account, pet, booking, communication, payment, and uploaded-file records unless it is removed through an applicable deletion process. The current app does not apply an automatic expiry period to booking routes or message history.

To delete your account in the app, open Settings → Danger Zone → Delete Account, then confirm Delete Account.

The account-deletion process removes the user record, associated pet-profile records, app push-subscription records, and any associated sitter-profile record. In retained booking, payment, payout, and sent-message records, it replaces certain account identifiers and sender details. This does not make all remaining information anonymous: booking addresses, care notes, route history, pet references, message content, and uploaded files can remain. It does not automatically delete records held separately by Stripe or OneSignal, or cancel recurring Stripe subscriptions.

Payment and payout records are retained for financial and tax administration. Booking and message history also remains for the other participants’ service records. Those purposes do not mean every detail must be kept indefinitely. Contact us to request review and deletion of remaining personal information, including uploads or route history. Records needed for an applicable legal obligation or an unresolved payment, service dispute, or security matter may need to be retained; the information and relevant reason will depend on the request. We do not promise a fixed deletion deadline or backup-expiry period in this policy.

Request deletion without the app

You can request account and associated-data deletion without installing or signing into the app. Email info@petnanny.online with the subject Pet Nanny account deletion, preferably from the email address used for your account. Identify the account and tell us whether you are requesting account deletion, deletion of particular information, or both. Do not send your password or full payment-card details. We may need to verify that the request is yours.

If you have an upcoming booking or recurring payment, also ask us to review its status. Deleting your account is not a substitute for cancelling a booking or subscription.

Your choices and questions

You can edit information where account and pet-profile controls are available, manage device permissions, and contact us to request access, correction, or deletion. Tell us if your request concerns information in a message, attachment, booking, or route, so that it can be identified. Applicable privacy rights depend on your location and the circumstances.

No internet service or transmission method can guarantee complete security. Do not share account passwords or unnecessary sensitive information through the app.

If you believe a child has provided personal information through Pet Nanny, contact us so that we can review the account and information involved.
